Hi! I’m Dr. Kim Andrews.

 

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Connecticut, my Master’s Degree from San Francisco State University and completed my doctoral work at Saybrook University in San Francisco, California. I have studied yoga for many years and completed a 200-hour Embody Yoga teacher training. Most recently I completed the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) program. I have studied spirituality especially Eastern philosophies for many years. YES, I am a life long learner. But along with my education is my own life story, which is also important for you to know.

 

I struggled with depression for most of my life starting in early adolescence. So like many of you my story has many ups and downs. I have done my own therapeutic work through the years and I was told that medication was necessary. I do believe there was a time when it was helpful but it was never the answer. For many years I was on medication and going through the motions of life without much joy. Luckily at a young age I started on a spiritual quest seeking answers to my existential questions. At this time I was introduced to yoga and meditation, which I have practiced throughout my adult life. Over time my life started to transform and I realized that I was the only person who was going to change my life. I had to make many modifications to my life style including changing my diet, reducing stress, exercising regularly, getting toxic products out of my life and realizing my own purpose for my life to truly improve. It was not going to happen because of a medication.

I get what it feels like to go through the day feeling “blah”, not finding joy in life, trying to feel better by “accomplishing more”. I know how it feels to be uncomfortable in your own skin and looking for something outside of yourself to make it all better.

 

Looking back on my life it seems like my experiences have brought me to this point and led me to do what I love to do, which is helping people to create lives with purpose and meaning that brings them joy.

 

Besides working with people to find their purpose and passion you can find me doing yoga, traveling the globe, finding beauty in life, and eating great food.

 

I am mostly known for loving life regardless of the pain, the pleasure, and everything in between.

 

I am a compassionate life coach, who believes that deep and meaningful change comes from within each person. I view life and healing as a holistic progression. You can expect an open dialogue based on being present, validation, support and accountability for you to reach the goals that you want to accomplish.

 

I truly believe that every person has a unique life story that needs to be heard.  Together we will build and implement a plan for you to create a more meaningful, joyful, and purposeful life.
